In the shadows of the mundane by Cryptcrawler In the shadows of the mundane by Cryptcrawler
Kindly view this in "sitback" mode from the gallery or from the frontpage, just click the icon to go fullscreen and press pause.
Most, if not all of my work is definately intended to be viewed fullscreen on a black background.

[UPDATED: fixed wall texture beneath grafitti to make it look more believable]

Yet another "Bring to Life" contest submission.

This one is way too bloody and visceral to win but I couldnt resist, the topic is just too good and inspiring.

My freelance gig got pushed back about a half a week or so, so it gave me some time to crank this one out.

Im gonna go and pass the hell out now since I just spent 13 hours on this today.

Completed from sketch to finish in Photoshop 7.

Thanks for coming by my page and leaving such wonderful compliments, it means a lot to me.

Best wishes to you all.

Wooow ! Your are such an inspiration ! I write creatively and just looking at your work cures any threats of writers block ! The texture to the stone complimented by the grafitti is so awesome. Hollywood is missing out but I don't think for long. What do you use 3DS Max ? Maya ?

as you say you made it to be mostly able to fit a black bagground tht is right? and as me, not knowing so much about light, perspective and colurs and so, i dont quite know what difference it would make if it had a balck bagground?

sorry for my bad english

and this painting looks very as if it was insirered from the movie Aliens 3 or something like that. :D its nice...

The claws along the front of the creature have a satisfying texture. As if they're 'pinging' out of the flesh. It's hard to describe how you've done it, but I can really feel the movement.

Excellent work.

Long time ago, I saw this drawing and I wanted to say a lot of things, I was thinking "what should I say?!" then I planned but I got confused, I always wanted to say that your work make me think a lot, like if I'm watching a movie, every drawing on your gallery is like a science from a movie, because of the details, the concept, the idea and because of the way you draw it, you always amaze me, OMG I'm in love with your work....
I really loved this one, it's kinda scary and spooky tho, but the way you draw everything, the wall and that scary alien creature are so amazing, and the lightings feels like its midday in a small valley road, and btw I always wonder how you're making the texture on the wall....man I want to say more but My english sucks, I'm not good in vocabulary, I don't know the meaning of a lot of arabic words :faint:
