1 of 5 Illustrations ive completed so far for the Call of Cthulhu Living Card Game by Fantasy Flight Games.
This is 1 of 2 cards that were done for the Twilight Horror card sets for the Asylum Expansion, specifically.

As many of you know im a H.P. Lovecraft *junkie*, so doing these cards was extra, extra enjoyable. The only crappy thing about this assignment in particular was that I was layed out like a dog as sick as you could be, I had to totally jack myself up on daytime cold medicine and energy drinks just to keep my head up and eyes open.

The card art is in reference to the short story "The Doom That Came To Sarnath" by H.P. Lovecraft, the creatures themselves are semi-gelatinous and jellyish while some others take on phantom-like properties; hence the both shiney and ghost-like visage of some of them.

Read the story to find out why, you'll get hooked on good ol Lovecraft!

Thank you very much for coming by my gallery!
Best wishes!

Not exactly as I imagined it, but deliciously spooky.

Awesome stuff as always, I think it would be great if someone could get together some of the best Lovecraftian inspired art and slap it in a book, their are some truly epic pieces out there! I had a go myself, keep meaning to do more work on it or explore some other Lovecraft themes, check out the link [link]

PS , Amazing use of transparency on the creatures in the background and great choice of the foreground creature looking more solid. You love your work and it shows. And we sure love looking at it !!

I'm a big Robert E Howard fan, and he was a huge fan of HP Lovecraft so I have to get familiar with his work. Dagon was interesting I red it and saw the foreign film.

Amazing work! There are such wonderful textures here. The detail made me dash over to my bookshelf and give the story a quick read.

Oh great!
Thanks for this compliment. It's a great little story, much like all of lovecrafts work - except his poetry...wow does that stuff stink.
